I haven't found a suitable permanent job despite all the effort put in to find one. It's getting quite exasperating really. My parents are getting "worried and impatient". Catch my drift?
Fortunately, I'm equipped with some nerdy web designing skills that I acquired back in my weird and rather silent tween years. And, with my precious boy giving me several assignments to do, I'm still able to make some money while bumming at home. With that in mind, I'll still be able to get through a couple more months without a proper job. I'll probably just take my mind of the job search for awhile... just to concentrate on the tasks I have on hand. As soon as I'm finished, it's back to the hunt...
Anyway, I got myself another bunny. I adopted her from someone. She's a 6 month old Lionhead and looks absolutely gorgeous. Though, her size can be rather intimidating. She's a little on the large side. But, lovely nonetheless. I named her Haley. Her previous owner called her Hersheys. I don't like it. Hence, the change.
I'm still not sure if Haley will be here to stay for good. I'll observe her progress for the next 6 weeks or so. She's on the timid side and doesn't really like to be picked up. She messes up her cage and shreds everything. Her behaviour's quite a handful especially when it comes to cleaning after her. Besides her being an absolute doll to my Thumper, she's quite the troublemaker for us. If things doesn't improve, there's a high possibility that I might have to put her up for adoption. I mean, I won't be able to keep cleaning up her mess twice a day in the long run. As soon as I start going out to work again, I won't have the time for that.
Thumper can be rather messy too but he knows his limits. As soon as we let him out to run freely, he's back to being a sweet bunny that thinks he's a dog. As for Nibbles, she's by far the smartest and most well behaved. Despite being the smallest and youngest, she's very tidy and is already litter trained. Everyone at home simple adores her.
Back to Haley... Here's a photo of her.
Upon arrival, I took Thumper out to meet Haley. They got along almost immediately. And a couple of hours later... Well, let's just say that rabbits will be rabbits. We all know the typical stereotype. It is quite true actually. Well, I'm off to bed. It's 4am. Oh, I'm suspecting that Thumper might be a little ill. The skin on his paws seem a little dodgy. I'll be taking him to vet on Sunday to have it checked. I'm quite worried about him. He hasn't been acting like himself for about two days now. I'm not certain if it's because of Haley's arrival, or the dodgy skin problem. All I want is for my Thumper to be healthy. I will be very upset if anything happens to him. He's like my little baby... I will be keeping track on his condition here.
Love,
Brenda.
