Went to see a movie after work with some colleagues today. Stardust at Gold Class. I've only been there with Kenneth so I couldn't help myself from reminiscing those fond memories.

Anyway, Stardust was brilliant. I absolutely loved it. The movie has everything a fantasy movie should have, romance, clever witticisms, great acting and a fair dose of magic. Not to mention the awesome cast as well. Robert De Niro, Claire Danes, Michelle Pfeiffer, Rupert Everett, Dexter Fletcher and Charlie Cox (Tristan Thorne)...
I reckon Tristan Thorne is ever so lovely. LOL. Well, the character has charm and undeniable innocence and charisma. I adore that in a man. ;)
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and was drawn to its original plot (based on the Neil Gaiman novel which I am now looking to read) and colorful characters. One of the most striking things to me actually was how self contained the story is. Unlike so many sci-fi fantasy movies out there right now which leave open-endings and such this was a pure fairy-tale, satisfying in and of itself with no need for a sequel. All in all, Stardust is purely original, fun and all round feel-good fantasy movie.
TWO THUMBS UP!
I'm definitely getting it in DVD. =)
Off topic.
I bought a pair of Syrian Hamsters from Pet Safari before the movie. Yunjian and I went to Pet Safari to buy some treats for our pets and I saw the most adorable little creatures. I had to get them immediately. I named them Cow and Magic.
I'll be heading down to Vivo City to pick them up tomorrow. Couldn't take them home tonight because of the movie. -.-
Everyone thinks I'm mad for keeping so many pets. But, I like them so if you don't have anything nice to say about it. I strongly suggest keeping your comments to yourself.
Well, I'm off to bed.
Love,
Brenda.
